A lot of you said on my blimp video (on my other account) that it’d be cool if I landed in the hot tub on the yacht, well we did it! I can’t count how many tries it took and I wasn’t able to dive like the other clip as I wasn’t getting far enough! So I had to just walk off

It took years of propaganda for him to get at this point. Years of hearing conspiracy theories and shock trolling about how transgender people - one of the poorest and least visible groups in the US - are plotting to turn kids gay or trans, are victims of a communicable disease, are destroying sports competitions, are assaulting people in bathrooms, are a Jewish plot to reduce white birth rates, etc., etc. `Absurd garbage that would never pass a smell test under normal circumstances, but right-wing radio and news has hammered it day in, day out, for years until people accept it as fact. Because it is easy to run the same script constantly or copy it from others, it has shock value that keeps people engaged, and there are so few of us allowed to be in positions of visibility where we can counter it and explain ourselves to people. And they spread this absurd garbage to other cis people who assume that they mean well and must know what they are talking about since it occupies so much of their time. There are zero consequences for being ringleaders of transphobia or for being so incurious about the world that you accept it as fact.` When I came out on Facebook in the deep south, I had zero questions from non-close friends or acquaintances who were finding out for the first time. I was probably the only trans person they'd known, or one of a very few. And I had zero questions. Instead, I got rape threats that forced me to close my account and quietly put my old life in the rear view mirror. ` And I guarantee you that some of those people with no questions are the same people who are obsessed with unsourced mass-detransition narratives, who laugh about '40% suicide rate', who will nod up and down listening to right-wingers and their manufactured controversies about trans people. Day in, day out. They live in a completely different world where trans people are a threatening menace that you can't sit down an have a conversation with. Because then you might start to see us as people with lived experiences.`

She's not doing chemo, but dealing with hair loss from alopecia. Here's an explanation that went along with the original video by @ev_bari: ` “So... the story is that after two traumas in two months when I was 13, I lost my hair in 1 month. I started loosing it in September and was bold in November. It was alopecia. Thing is... the doctors told be to do treatments that were just as invasive as chimios, and this lasted for 3 years, without any success. So I suffered these treatments and this pause in my life for nothing... kind of. Expect the fact I grew up and became the Eros I am today. I had so hoped of hair growth again but didn’t last, I was always loosing it once more. I went through many mental health issues because of all these (especially eating disorders), but never stopped nor school, no college, nor uni... today I’m finally graduating from law school, and it feels good. But after an amazing hair growth since 4 years, after being very close from having all my head covered, I started loosing it again and again.... Yesterday I asked boyfriend to shave my head, even though he loved seeing me with short hair” `

2020.07.27 20:43 EcdadinYolu Ermeni Meselesi - Armenian Subject 1906-1918

To gain Source access, i recommend the Archive Materials on this page:

The Armenian Subject is complicated phenomenon that appeared in the end-times of the ottoman empire where the surrounding global powers tried to seperate the Ottoman Empire from the outside and from the inside through Rebelions.
Esepcially Russia who succesfully invaded the eastern Part of the Ottoman Empire (because the Semi-Ottoman Government hijacked by the Comitee of Union and Progress made unoptimal Decisions as the Sarikamis Disaster ordered by Enver Pasa) with their Armenian Rebells Armenian created an "Armenian Uprising" in times of the 1.World War where with Russian and French support the Armenians belived to get a large country if the ottoman empire is defeated and so they attacked the villiages and civil infrastructure in 15. April 1915 Van and Bitlis and russians occupied the cities.
https://i.imgur.com/yKM7d2G.png
The Ottoman Administration decided a counter measure against these Rebellions and ordered to DEPORT Armeniens to Syria and Sehr-i Zor
The Ottoman Order on 29. April 1915:
SOURCE MATERIAL:
There is not a single word that commands the executive force to do ethnic cleansing. It was an Order to Deport Armeniens to their Regions like Jerewan and if they didn't comply, force was used to create a forced march, again this Step was taken after they invaded ottoman villiages with the russians, force was used.
There was not a command to annihilate a specific ethnicity for what reasons possible, it was a mass deportation Order after armenien rebellion against ottomans, some may call it death march for certain ways but it was a step taken in War and while being right.

While the Majority of Western Historians,Politicians and Armenian Apologists want to make it seem like the Russian Invaders together with their Seperatists were Angels that came from the Sky, how about we try and bring actual real light to the other Side?

Weapons were found in Churches and the Elders of Ottoman Soldiers were massacred while their Children fought against Western and Russian Powers.
(((And a small side note to depreciate the Greek Side of the History in Context to the Ottoman Empire is easy to acknowledge when you look at who supported greek seperatists in the so called "Greek War of Independence" in western perspective while it was a Seperation Movement from the Ottoman Perspective and any victim the Greek Side has to complain about has to viewed in the Context of War, the option to portray someone as a victim is always easy to create false political pressure against a nation.)))

Questions Answers
Do you think your experience as a Cuban-American and I would assume familiarilty with the culture will assist you in the Coast Guard? Do you plan to be stationed in South Florida? 1) I do plan to be stationed in South Florida, Key west to be specific, as of right now it's my 3rd or 4th choice. I know that it will be a challenge for me to face Cuban immigration but it is a part of the job that I am going to have to face sooner or later. I am honestly not sure how I will react (internally) but I do know it will be tough.
2) I do think that I can benefit from being Cuban... merely speaking spanish is a huge advantage let alone full understanding of the culture. Just a few weeks ago I spent 6 weeks stationed in San Juan, PR. Doing mainly drug interdiction, they often see Cuban migrants but I did not get to see any during any of my patrols.
Would you feel conflicted if you ever intercepted cuban immigrants? Absolutely!
What exactly is ridiculous about it? I mean, I pretty much agree with you, but is it not true that allowing Cubans will increase the supply of unskilled labor, thus reducing wages, and taking jobs? From a numbers prospective yes, its basic law of supply and demand. But logically, "taking our jobs" implies that those jobs are desired, which isn't always the case when it comes to low paying, unskilled jobs in the United States.
Most Americans would consider the opportunity cost of taking a minimal wage job, I have seen this first hand, in fact most people have.
How was boot camp? Are drill sergeants really that angry? You can only have a vehicle on base your last year( seniofirstie) at the Academy. - to your cousin-> yes, here at the academy we get issued a demilitarized M1 Grand for drill and ceremony.
The academies are different from regular enlistment, we don't get indoctrinated by drill sergeants (army) or Drill instructors (marine corps). And yes, they are intense.
I would like to go to flight school but im still undecided.
Why did you choose to go into the coast guard? Where do you see yourself going with this? What was your alternate career, if not the Coast Guard? I attended a military school sophomore year of High school (a story in itself) before being moved back to my local public high school. Ever since then I knew I wanted to be in the military. At the moment I am considering making the CG a career, but who knows what will happen in the future.
Quite honestly, I am not sure what other career I would have wanted if not for this. I always had such a desire to be at the academy and the CG that I didn't think about anything else... Thinking back now though, probably medicine.
Is Cuba really that bad? How do you feel about what Americans are taught about Cuba? My Spanish teacher in middle school basically equated Castro to hitler which of course is nonsense. Did you consider any other military branches? I would not equate Castro to Hitler, I think Hitler was on a whole different level, not only on intentions but on effectiveness of expansion. Regardless, thats just my opinion, I'm sure that my father would disagree and would say the same thing your instructor did.
Yes, I strongly considered the Army, and actively took steps to become an officer in it. However, all along I knew the Coast Guard was where I wanted to be due to its missions.
Do you think it would be fair for immigrate the US illegally should be required to serve in the armed forces before being granted citizenship? I don't think it would be fair to force anyone to serve in the Armed Forces. The reason the US armed forces is amongst the best in the world is because of people who want to serve (for the most part). Whether or not what you are asking should be an option is another issue to consider.
Did you have to qualify with M16s/M4s? When I was in basic my DS would always make fun of us and said that we shot our rifles like we were in the Coast Guard. I am M16 Qualified... I have shot while underway on a vessel and on land, guess which one is harder. (thats actually pretty funny though) lol.
Why did your family leave Cuba? Is the Cuban reality as grim and desperate as Capitalist American Media groups would have us believe? My father left initially because things were pretty grim in the 90s'. From the stories that my dad has told me, soon after I was born he had a lot of money saved up (the equivalent of $5000) but there was no food to buy...
That combined with the fact that you are forced to go to communists rallies/marches... just overall lack of freedoms.
I'm a second generation Cuban American and I've seen lots of family members come to South Florida over the years. I've noticed that most people ask about their opinions on the US but neglect to ask about their life before leaving. The thing I miss most is definitely my family and the style of living... Like I said, my mother is still there and I have not seen here for almost 4 years now.
Knowing that it may be a long time before you can go back, what have you missed most from Cuba? What was life like for you? Life was okay for me because my mom worked in the tourism industry which is the most prosperous industry in Cuba. But others had it bad, to the point of needing to borrow rise from neighbors.
How did you get into the Coast Guard Academy? What do you think set you apart from the rest of the applicants? Congrats BTW! There is no recipe for getting in... Just hope you get picked, nothing below a 3.3 and super high SAT/ACTs. I never took the SATs but my ACTs was a 32.
Did you get a chance to crew The Eagle, and how was it? I've always been fascinated by that ship. Yes I did. I spent a grand total of 8 weeks on the ship... And I am sorry if I ruin your fascination, but I hated it. Pretty much everyone that goes on it ends up hating it because it is so much work. It looks very cool, so must people romanticize it.
(Link for those who don't know. Link to en.wikipedia.org ) If you really want to go on Eagle, their schedule is normally posted online and they give tours whenever they pull in.
Are you going to save your mother? She doesn't need saving... But if you are asking if she will be coming to the US, the answer is very soon.
Spend any time in Cape Disappointment? If so did you find it disappointing? Would you go back? I have not spent anytime there.
What city in Cuba did you live in? My family is from Havana. A town within Havana called Alamar. Its a town separated by zones, I lived in Zone 5 then moved to Zone 10.
¿Has visto la peli "Viva Cuba"? Me encanta. No la e visto.
It's great. Two little kids run away from Havana, and take every conceivable mode of transportation to get to the other end of the island, so it's great for learning Cuban geography. I watched it to improve my Spanish in preparation for a visit with cousins in Holguín. Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely put it on my list!
Major difference you notice between going thru academy versus CGOCS? I ask because I plan to attend OCS, or at least take the necessary steps to get myself there. Also, any advice/guidance would be awesome! Just make yourself as competitive as possible and get in physical shape... I don't really know what the requirements are for OCS, so I am sorry I can't give you better advice.
The major difference between the Academy and OCS graduates is that Academy graduates tend to stay in longer by virtue of age and preparation. The average OCS grad has spent already a few years in the service. Academy graduates on the other hand, spend 4 years just trying to make it into the Coast Guard. This is proven by the Commandants of the Coast Guard. No Commandant has ever been and OCS graduate, they have all been Coast Guard Academy graduates.
As far as specific advice, depending of your age there are many things you could do. Look into the CSPI program, and the Blue-23 (I believe) program.
I was always curious as to what the COA on your green card said if you gained citizenship through service. Did you naturalize on base, or prior to service? Because I came via my father who was already a citizen, I became a citizen shortly after arriving to the US (around 13 years of age). So I was a citizen by the time I decided to join.
Ok. So you were an IR-2 or CR-2 depending on his status. Very cool of you to join up. I notice a lot of immigrants usually join a branch of government to give back to their new country. How long do you plan on serving and what would you like to do afterward? Going for the GI bill? As of right now, I plant to make a CG a career! GI and every other benefit is just a bonus really, I just really enjoy this service and its missions! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.
What's your opinion of Buena Vista Social Club? The film or the actual club?
Historically Cuban Immigrants have a higher tendency to vote Republican than any other Latin group due to fleeing communism. In more recent elections younger Cubans or 2nd generation immigrants are leaning more and more to the left. Could you share your political beliefs and how your experiences may have shaped how you vote/ not vote? It is hard for me to clearly articulate/identify what a political belief is since in my opinion, issues in the political field are fueled by non political issues... Can you be more specific as to what issues you'd like discussion on?
Have you seen Sicko by Michael Moore? If so, do you agree with his view on the Cuban healthcare system? I am watching it right now... Wow!
Okay so I just finished watching it.. And yes, it is very accurate. The medicine is indeed very cheap and the medical care is prompt and overall very good.
I must admit that as far as dentistry I have had a a better experience in the US... Grant it that was after joining the Coast Guard.
Cuban girls are hot. Right? The vast majority.
How do you like Cape May? I have never been there, Coast Guard Academy Cadets don't go through bootcamp in Cape May like the enlisted folks. Much like West Point, and the Naval Academy, the Coast Guard Academy runs its own bootcamp/basic training... we call ours Swab Summer.
What was your favorite summer assignment while you were at the academy? 3/c Summer (summer of 2011) I was aboard the USCGC Dallas doing drug interdiction in the Caribbean and South America. Had an amazing port call in Bocas Del Toro, Panama and an ok one in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Also I just came back from 6 weeks in San Juan, PR with USCGC Sapelo and USCGC Farallon. Also doing drug interdiction.
Very interesting. I've been waiting until we can go down to Key West to AMIO. We had a 2 cadets on our buoy tender this summer. They seemed to enjoy it. That's my one regret, not experiencing buoy tenders, every one I talk to just absolutely loves them.
Do you know Anna Ruth? Yes...
You need to get that picture of your CAC card of the internet net. DOD policy. No pictures of your ID. Thank you, I actually did not know that.
No problem. Many websites used to ask for military ID picture to prove and get discount. Now they just use your military email address. Serviceman I assume.
I am also dropping in to say this. As well as share that I come from a family of Cuban immigrants. Congrats! Thank you very much, it means a lot... seriously!
Also, i mighttt make this into a new OPSEC poster for our ship. Haha what?! Hopefully not in the negative "lose lips sink ships" OPSEC. lol

I just wanted to say that Paranormal Activity scared the living shit out of me. I hate the scene where the girl is under the blankets & the demon moves the blankets and grabs her leg. Blankets are supposed to be the fucking safe zone, man! It's a combination of fearing the unknown, the invisible, and the sense of vulnerability you have when you're asleep.
Anyways, thanks for doing an AMA, we all really appreciate it. How did you make the demon of Paranormal Activity so terrifying? It's like you know all of my personal fears. Also, the idea that you're not safe in your own home...
Trust me, it totally worked. Thanks to your goddamn movie I would lay in bed and literally jump from every sound in my house. Absolutely scared the shit out of me. I'm pretty easily scared, especially for a 22-year-old dude, but congratulations on doing exactly what you set out to do. If I could ask one more question: I've heard that originally Paranormal Activity was meant to open-ended as to whether it was actually a demon or if the girl just went insane and killed her boyfriend, but was later changed to be the story of some people being haunted. Is there any truth to this, or was it definitely a demon from the time you first thought of it? The original ending was a bit more open for interpretation... but not really. if Katie was just crazy, it still doesn't explain how she got dragged out of bed by an invisible force.
Did you expect Paranormal Activity to explode and be as successful as it was? Not at all. as I was making it, I had to be hopeful that if the movie turned out great, maybe it'll get limited theatrical distribution, but the odds are definitely against you. but that hope kept me motivated.
How did it affect your relationship with your girlfriend? It didn't help the relationship - we are no longer together, although that wasn't the main reason.
Just wanted to say I promise I won't pirate Chernobyl Diaries (or any of your other work). You have my respect good sir. Appreciate it!
Do you consider yourself a morbid person? I think I'm generally a happy person, but I have morbid fascination with things.
How much did you pay in copyright fees to get Darth Maul in Insidious? He was simply happy to get some extra work.
When your movies are finished and you watch them at the premiere do they ever scare you? This also goes for other horror films, has being involved in the making of scary films ruined your enjoyment of them? My own movies never scare me, but it's a terrifying experience watching your movie with an audience wondering how they receive it.
I heard that Paranormal Activity was actually completely done long before it was released in theaters. Is this true? It was shot in 2006, edited into 2007. then slightly tweaked (mostly new ending) once DreamWorks came on board. released fall of 2009.
Also, how did it feel to basically come out of basically nowhere in the movie industry and make it pretty big? It was pretty nutty. I'm still not used to it. beyond my wildest dreams.
Which ending to Paranormal Activity do you prefer, the one where Katie disappears or the one where she slits her throat? I like the original "cops" ending, and the official ending.
Do you think a thrillehorror movie could work without the supernatural aspect? I get that the stuff we don't understands scares the shit out of us but could a scary movie be successful if there was no disease, zombie, ghost, or any other non-existent thing? Of course. Seven. Silence of Lambs.
Sometimes people are scarier than anything else.
Never saw Seven and I don't remember Silence of the Lambs really freaking me out like PA2 when I watched it by myself with the lights off (I only made it about 45min through before I turned them back on). So I guess what I was trying to get at was is it that hard to make a movie realistic and as scary as PA? Certainly not easy. making it found-footage with amazingly talented actors helps.
I heard that when the studios bought out the rights for Paranormal Activity 1, they asked to change and retake the ending. Why did you let them do this? Thanks for answering my earlier question! In test-screenings the original ending didn't play as strongly as the rest of the film so we experimented with new endings. in one of the most surreal episodes of my life, an ending was suggested by Spielberg which we shot, tested and it played great in front of an audience.
In writing Paranormal Activity, did you purposely try to add comic relief? Micah had a few humorous lines, and the entire theater was cracking up as soon as the psychic said he had couldn't be there. Was this intentional, or just a happy accident? Some of it was intentional, some accidental, and most of it thanks to Micah's improv.
I had no idea some of the movie was improv. Were a lot of the lines improvised? About 99% of it was improv.
If you had to fight a dinosaur to the death in a Dinosaur Death Match using only primitive weapons and not allowed to set traps, what's the biggest dinosaur you think you win against? You don't have to name a specific dinosaur, just give us a size reference. T-Rex.
Before it hatches.
Jesus Christ, Oren. You just beat one of my fucking T-Rexes. Oren, what the fuck man? Oren... Look, if it's in an egg then... GODDAMMIT, OREN!!! Ok, maybe then just a second after it hatches. it'll be officially a T-Rex then.
Seeing as Olivia Dudley is part of the Chernobyl cast, are you a fan of 5secondfilms? I wasn't familiar with 5 sec films before casting her. but we're all fans of her!
Was there any true video takes from Chernobyl used in your movie? Yes, we used some stock footage.
Hi! What's your favorite movie? Stand by Me.
Hey Oren. I can proudly say that Paranormal Activity has kept me awake far more than all the horror movies I've seen combined. Now here are my two questions: 1: How many Paranormal Activity films do you plan on making and 2: on October I will enroll into a film-making university. What are your suggestions for an aspiring filmaker? Thanks in advance. We're only planning to make PA4. it's one movie at a time - no plans beyond the current one.
Sorry, I never went to film school so I can't give you useful advise.
What was your "shitty-ass day job?" Video game programmer.
Oren, hello! It's Brad McHargue - I interviewed you via Skype a coupla months ago. Just wanted to say hello and welcome! Glad to see you on here. I'm lookin' forward to seeing CHERNOBYL DIARIES! As for a question, do you feel that found footage is limited in how it can be executed, or do you think that there a limitless ways to play with the conceit? Found footage those present limitations and challenges, but I think we will see lots of smart filmmakers using it in ways we haven't thought of yet.
Out of all your works, which are you most happy with? PA1.
What's your favorite scary movie? Movies don't usually scare me but the one that did was Paranormal Activity. I could relate to the realness of the characters and the suspense built up in a subtle but terrifying way. "favorite" is not the right word, but no movie scared me like THE EXORCIST. partly because I was only 10 or 11 when I saw it.
Next would be Blair Witch.
Loved PA1 even though I'm typically not too into the horror genre. During the making of this movie what made you decide to not go the route of gore/showing the demon? For my taste, showing too much can often be less scary than not seeing the "monster". your own imagination can be way more effective.
Blair Witch Project was a great example of that. when I watched it I was terrified BECAUSE we never saw the witch.
Also, if your enemy is invisible it can sometimes be much scarier.
Why can't you get Chernobyl Diaries in the Theatres here in New Zealand. Some direction towards Hoyts Distribution or Village Roadshow would be appreciated. The main reason I say this is that some of these movies get released in the US 2 or 3 months before they come out here. This usually forces people into piracy as HD rips become available before any theatre release. Can you do anything about this? I don't really handle international distribution, but I will ask around.
Is there going to be a Paranormal Activity 4? Yes. Oct 19th.
Thanks for doing this! Quick question. Japan made a version of Paranormal Activity called "Paranormal Activity 2: Tokyo Night". Were you involved in anyway with the production? I was not. haven't even seen it yet.
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I'm curious about the scenes in the Paranormal Activity movies that are fast-forwarded. For example, in PA1 there was one night where Katie got out of bed and stood there staring at Micah for 3+ hours. How long did those scenes actually take? Much less... only a few minutes. although Katie was willing to stand there all night if needed.
I see you and your girlfriend broke up after PA. Are you interested in short, fat chicks with kids? Half trolling. Sounds tempting, but I already have a girlfriend.
Was the book michah was reading about demons real in pa1? I've been curious to read it. Also, are there any alternate endings for pa3? I do promotions for paramount and can't wait for pa4! Thanks. Yes, it's a real book. don't remember the exact name.
We shot several different endings for PA3 (and PA2... and PA1).
Is the Chernobyl diaries a form of predictive programming for a nuclear attack upon the US? Are you trying to desensitize us? Hmm.... nope.
Although, that's probably what I would say to deny it if it were true.
If you were to direct a movie with M. Night Shyamalan, who would come up with the more interesting twist? I think he's the master of twists!
Hello Mr. Peli, I was a huge fan of The River and was sad to see it cancelled. Do you have any plans to return to television? And do you believe that The River would have been more successful had you gone to a more premium cable channel such as HBO? No specific plans at the moment.
One can only speculate, but if I return to TV I might want to try cable.
Did the actors know what was going on for the most part in Paranormal Activity, or did you try and actually scare the actors? Sometimes they did (in the more complex scenes), and other times I would just tell them "good night" and do things to scare and surprise them.
What is Patrick Wilson like in real life? Patrick Wilson is super nice, very genuine person.
What movie have you enjoyed the most making? PA1.
Is Tom Riddle's diary one of the Chernobyl Diaries? :P. Maybe that'll be the sequel.
Hi there. Since "The River" was just cancelled, could you please tell me where the story was going and/or what was supposed to happen throughout the rest of the show's seasons? I'm still holding on to the secrets of The River... who knows... maybe one day it'll be resurrected?
What do you think accounts for the huge success of found footage films recently? I think that when done right, found-footage has a sense of realism and intimacy about them that makes the audience connect to the characters and plot on a deeper level. most of us have gotten used to seeing YouTube videos and reality shows and they feel more real than "traditional" scripted movies.
Which one of the PA movies do you personally think is the scariest? It's hard for me to objective. people tell me it's either 1 or 3.
I just want to say I loved Insidious and PA3 and I look forward to Chernobyl Diaries. Also, considering the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Is based in the vicinity of Chernobyl and it is a horror game (one of my favorites) did you use any inspiration from the series? I never played STALKER, but did read about it once I started researching Chernobyl.
Ma nishma? Tov Toda.
Did you think it was going to be a huge success when you first filmed paranormal activities? Also, how spooky was the scene and the area during filming? Answered above re thinking it would be a success...
It wasn't spooky at all actually. we were having fun making a movie!
Nigga those ghosts was scary! Werd up.
Jesus man; I love all your work, but Insidious was probably the most intense movie I have ever seen. No cheap horror or obvious scares... just pure unadulterated intensity. Great call with Patrick Wilson by the way; it was kind of like Hard Candy in reverse for that role. Thanks, although the credit for Insidious should really go to James Wan and Leigh Whannel!
My husband and I love The River! I'm looking forward to more episodes! Also you made my husband shriek while watching Insidious in the movie theater. My 16 year-old cousin asked him if he was too scared and wanted to leave. Glad to hear :)
Too bad you're not Oren Moverman from RAMPART! I heard he was exquisite. My apologies for not being him.
I haven't seen Rampart yet but loved The Messenger.
